Capitol Historian Valerie Marvin will share the role that the Michigan capital held in the suffrage movement. From debates to conferences in the chamber to Constitutional Conventions, learn how women influenced Michigan politics.

This talk is held in conjunction with the Liberty Awakes in Washtenaw County: When Women Won the Vote display in the Community Room. The display is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Ann Arbor Area and brought to the Library by the Salem Area Historical Society.
