Finding Your Voice: Essays and Storytelling: EVENT CANCELLED

Sadly, “Finding Your Voice: Essays and Storytelling,” is being postponed indefinitely. While we would love to see you and celebrate your voices, we feel it is more important to do our part to slow the spread of the Coronavirus. So, out of what we hope is an abundance of caution, we are postponing until a time of less uncertainty.
Wash your hands well and stay healthy!

Washtenaw County NOW Board

Join us for an evening of Mothesque storytelling on the theme of Finding your Voice! The event begins by awarding six winners of the essay contest offered to Washtenaw county high school students and students at Washtenaw Community College. Top prizes of $500 will be awarded to the first place winners at each level who will then read their essays aloud.

Then it’s on to storytelling, hosted by Toastmasters. Ten randomly-selected participants will have five minutes each to engage and delight the audience as they describe their journeys to find their voices, their true selves. Come out to honor the essayists and hear the stories!
